Comments: In the 1970s and 1980s, it was a popular live music venue, hosting bands including Skyhooks, Mental as Anything, AC/DC, Midnight Oil, Men at Work, and Hunters and Collectors. The Cure played there on their first international tour of Melbourne in 1980.

Around 1993/94, the building was renovated into a popular family restaurant. It was re-opened as the Prospect Hill Hotel around 1998-2000, but soon became a discount liquor store.
